1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
“A lady’s imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony in a moment.” ― Jane Austen
Pride and Prejudice is a romantic novel by Jane Austen. This novel was published on 28th Jan 1813 by T. Egerton whitehall in United Kingdom.
The story is about Elizabeth Bennet and Fitz william Darcy, a heartwarming story of their complicated societal norms creating the relationship from arrogance, wittiness, humor and then turning it into a perfect love story of two different souls.
Jane Austen’s starting dialogue “It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife” is a sentence which is filled with so much of irony , wittiness and fun!
The novel revolves around marrying for love, not for money, despite the social pressures coming from family and others to be married to a good or better say a wealthy Man.
It is the best sociological studies in early nineteen century relating to British loyalty and society. Where title, rank, fortune, and good looks etc were the requirements of an approved marriage much more than love.
The writing style is so classic of Jane Austen. She had created a character with her exceptional writing skills and her remarkable creativity in developing her characters of Elizabeth with an opinionated, strong and witty heroine and a misunderstood man who has their fair share of prejudices and pride to overcome in their complicated relationship.
The novel was written during the British Regency period.
You may not find this wonderful Novel as relevant today as two hundred years ago, but still there are so many traces of such societies throughout the world, even today.

2.Dreaming of you by Lisa Kleypas
Dreaming of you was published on 1st Jan 1994 and again on 30th June 2015 by Avon.
A Romantic book Dreaming of you where Derek Craven’s character is so amazing that you can read this book many time. Though it’s fiction, but it inspires an individual to rise from the mire and eventually be a success not only in business, but all the way through in finding and settling down with a good woman who can serve to bring him to a higher level than he could have risen without her influence.
This is a kind of story of Derek Craven and Sara Fielding. In Lisa Kleypas’ words a Derek Craven’s character:
Derek’s a self-made man, having worked his way up from the gutter and has seen too much and done too much to the point he’s completely jaded. Sara’s a likable, realistically independent country mouse who’s small-village decency and respectability provokes Derek into wanting to be a better man. It’s a redemption tale through and through.Sara is brave, steady, but unafraid of life and what it brings to her. It feels as if he will stop at nothing to get what he wants and it certainly seemed to work for him considering his beginnings and his later successes.
One of the best historical romances in existence.
A must read!!
